In a game where are rational thinking pointed towards a loss for the Jaguars, the Jacksonville defense stepped up and played a tremendous game and totally shutdown the Ravens offense. The Jaguars offense continued to struggle, but they were able to do enough to set up four field goals from Josh Scobee.
Jacksonville had lost 8 of their last nine coming into the game, and were desperate for a win. The defense did not allow a first down until 5:26 in the third quarter, which is quite a remarkable feet considering the amount of talent Baltimore possesses. Maurice Jones-Drew led the way for the Jaguars offense with 105 yards on 30 carries. Aside from their spectacular running back the Jacksonville offense still struggles mightily has Gabbert continues to mature with the offense.
The win over Baltimore moves them to (2-5) on the season and keeps the season alive for another week. Next week the Jags travel to Houston to take on the (4-3) Texans who are in first place in the AFC South. With a win over Houston the Jaguars would be right back in the mix within the division title race.
