The key for the Jaguars this season has been to play stout defense, and for Maurice Jones-Drew to play great. If those ingredients mesh, the Jaguars have a good chance of winning. But when they are held in check the Jaguars will have a tough time winning regardless of who the opponent is.
Last week the Houston did just that, they limited Jones-Drew to 63 yards and a touchdown, and were able to put up 24 points of offense on the Jaguars defense. Jacksonville has the worst offense in the NFL and it does not help that Gabbert and his receivers cannot build any type of report with each other, and if the game is in the hands of Gabbert….Good Luck. On the bright side, as bad Gabbert can look at times, you know he is light years better than McCown.
The Jaguars have a bye next week and get an extra week to prepare for division cellar dweller, Indianapolis Colts.
