After another Loss, Del Rio Fired and Jaguars Sold

Sunday began positively for Jacksonville. On the Texans first possession Arian Foster fumbled, which was recovered by Ashton Youboty who returned it 38 yards for a touchdown. Houston was able to answer with a touchdown of their own later in the first quarter, on a touchdown run by Foster.

Points were tough to come by the rest of the game for the Jags, as had been the case for the whole season. Gabbert had been playing so awfully that Del Rio actually pulled him for Luke McCown, which is a bit insane considering that Gabbert is a rookie and is trying to learn how to win games, and you already know that McCown cannot win games, especially when trailing.

After Sunday news came out that Del Rio had been fired. Jack Del Rio had been with Jacksonville for nine years and had made the playoffs several times. The Jaguars never won the division under Del Rio, but they did have some success along the way. Aside from Del Rio being fired the Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver agreed to sell the franchise to Shahid Khan. Khan is reportedly purchasing 100% of the team and it will be put through the if the NFL agrees upon in, in December.
