London’s Calling: Jaguars Will Play Overseas

For the next four seasons, the Jacksonville Jaguars will only play 7 games in Jacksonville each season. The reason is because for each of those seasons, they will be playing one game in London. This will begin in 2013 and go through the 2016 NFL season. The Jaguars are trying to make the spin that this is to broaden their fan base in other markets, which ultimately will help their ticket sales, which are consistently among the leagues worst. The games will be at the same stadium that hosted the previous games in London since 2007 (with the exception of last year due to the lockout).

The Jaguars are included in every rumor that involves the speculation of a team relocating to anywhere, mostly to LA. This may be the teams last chance to gain popularity before they are forced to say good bye to Jacksonville and find another city that will be able to embrace and support an NFL team.
