The Jaguars lost again on Sunday and are now 0-2, and their season is close to falling apart before it even got started. The Jaguars were unable to do anything on offense against the tough Texans defense. They only put up a total of 117 yards, which pales in comparison to the Texans 411 yards on Sunday.
Maurice Jones-Drew is still working his way back into football shape, but despite averaging 5 yards per carry and scoring the Jaguars only touchdown on a 5-yard pass from Blaine Gabbert, there was nothing positive to take away from the Jaguars performance against the Houston Texans. Arian Foster had his way with the Jaguars defense while gaining 147 yards from scrimmage and scoring one touchdown. And to the dislike of Foster’s fantasy owners, Ben Tate added on two rushing touchdowns and had 97 yards from scrimmage.
However, the biggest disappointment remains the 2011 first round pick, Blaine Gabbert. Gabbert threw for only 53 yards and completed 7 of 19 attempts. If he continues to play that poorly, don’t be surprised if Chad Henne gets a few starts this season.
