Jaguars will Play 49ers in their 2013 London Game

It was previously announced that the Jacksonville Jaguars will be playing one of their home games in London for each of the next four seasons, and today it was announced by the NFL that the Jacksonville Jaguars first opponent at Wembley Stadium will be the San Francisco 49ers. In 2013 the Jacksonville Jaguars NFC opponents will be the NFC West. Don’t be surprised if all four of the Jaguars games in London will be against NFC opponents, and this prediction is based on their only being one inter-conference match-up overseas since the NFL International program started, and because the NFL will likely want to give exposure to teams from both conferences.

The game will be played at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 27, 2013. The 49ers right now are the superior team, but forcing them to have to travel from San Francisco all the way to London may give the Jaguars an advantage in regards to the amount of jet lag that the 49ers players will be suffering from. Hopefully the Jaguars can field a competitive team by then.
