The 1-5 Jaguars will be without Maurice Jones-Drew in their week eight match-up against the the 4-3 Green Bay Packers. However, the Jaguars are fortunate to have Blaine Gabbert active for the game, but even more fortunate to know that neither Greg Jennings or Jordy Nelson will be playing for the Packers. With the Packers two primary receivers out, it is only icing on the cake the Jaguars cornerback, Rashean Mathis, is active for the game. The Packers still have majority of the advantages over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Packers haven’t been a dominant force this season, and have shown signs of being human, so the Jaguars do stand a chance.
The keys to the game for the Jaguars will be game management, they can’t allow the Packers to control the ball. In order to do so, the Jaguars will need Rashad Jennings to play well in place of the injured Maurice Jones-Drew, because the Jaguars are going to want their drives to eat as much time off the clock as possible. However, as important as time is, the Jaguars must put points on the board, because that is what the Packers do best. This game could potentially be a blow out, but if it is managed properly and the Jaguars play to the best of their ability, they can shock the crowd at Lambeau Field.
